Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect on Audition Day?
Please have the application filled out prior to audition day. Complete it here. Dancers will also fill out waivers and get their headshots taken. Registration is then complete and dancers can begin stretching. At noon the captains will begin teaching the first piece of choreography. After some review time, the first audtion cut will take place. For this cut, dancers will perform the material in larger groups. The dancers that are asked to stay will then be announced. The second round will be very similar just different choreography. Once the final group is selected, finals will begin. Finals will consist of a slightly longer piece of choreography which will be taught and reviewed until dancers are comfortable. Dancers will be given a short break to prepare for final auditions. The finals are done in random pairs and will include an interview portion as well as demonstration of a few technique pieces. The team will be determined shortly after the final auditions are complete.
